Аннотация: Смерть Сталина в 1953 году положила начало периоду расцвета советского кинематографа. Оттепель стала временем либерализации как политической, так и культурной жизни в СССР; выходившие в те годы фильмы, со свойственными им формальным новаторством и социальной ангажированностью, оказались в центре международного кинодискурса. В своей книге «Кинематограф оттепели. Пространство, материальность, движение» Лида Укадерова предлагает анализ некоторых фильмов, снятых в СССР в 1958–1967 годах, чтобы доказать: пространство – и как визуальная составляющая фильмов, и как социально значимый топос – играло в кинематографе этих лет ведущую роль. Открываясь дискуссией о восприятии малоизученного панорамного кино СССР конца 50-х, исследование Укадеровой уделяет пристальное внимание кинолентам Михаила Калатозова, Георгия Данелии, Ларисы Шепитько и Киры Муратовой. Автор показывает, что работы всех этих режиссеров были вдохновлены стремлением через призму кино исследовать важнейшие проблемы идеологии, общественного прогресса и роли личности в постсталинской культуре.
